Larson & Larson was founded in 1987 by the late Herbert W. Larson, Sr., following his retirement from a 24-year career as patent counsel at DuPont. After relocating his family from Pennsylvania to Florida, Herb wasn’t quite ready to stop practicing law — so he launched his own firm. Larson & Larson was born.
Herb’s son, Herbert William “Bill” Larson, Jr., joined the firm early on and continues to lead it today as owner and managing partner. His brother, James Larson, a patent attorney, later served as a partner and now supports the firm in an Of Counsel capacity.
Bill’s wife, Mickey Larson, has been with the firm since its start, providing essential administrative leadership. Today, she manages operations and finances and oversees all trademark filings and docketing.
Patent agent Frank Liebenow joined the team in 2005, bringing decades of expertise in electrical, mechanical, and computer-related patent applications.
Together, the team continues to build on Herb’s vision, offering a personal, client-focused approach to intellectual property law.
